My passion for wedding photography started with my own wedding. Watching our photographer carefully capture the emotions of our special day really opened my eyes. After buying my first SLR camera, friends of ours asked if I could take some photos at their wedding. I thought that since I enjoyed taking photographs and I loved weddings, I would give it a shot. That was January 2005 and I haven't looked back. I fell in love with the intensity, excitement and joy that is only experienced on a wedding day. I love capturing emotional moments; like the father of the bride crying or the shy flower girl smiling as she feels like a princess in her beautiful dress!
I began by taking a few college level photography night courses. These courses just intensified my need to learn more about photography. Since then I have attended a variety of photography seminars, the biggest and best so far being The Niagara School of Imaging workshop, which was held at Brock University. I have also become a member of PPO (Professional Photographers of Ontario) and PPOC (Professional Photographers of Canada). I recently received my LPPO (Licencate to Professional Photographers of Ontario). As well being nationally accredited in the fields of Wedding Environmental, and Children's portraits, by the PPOC.
Along with my passion for photography, I have a passion for the outdoors. I fish, hunt and camp whenever I get the chance. I enjoy being outside and experiencing nature. I also love dogs. I own two cute canines, Chewbacca and Shaggy. We have had Chewbacca (Chewy) since he was 4 weeks old. Shaggy is the newest addition to our little family. He was abandoned and after finding him on the street and taking him in as a foster dog we fell in love with him and decided to keep him.
I live in a little town just outside Sudbury, Ontario. I am an easy, happy go lucky photographer who is dedicated to capturing your special day with as much fun and spontaneity as possible!
